It seems that Facebook user base is still increasing rapidly day by day along with the time spent by its users on FBing. Recently Facebook acquire the top position in Alexa World Ranking by taking down Google by 1 position. Google had remained in the first position from a long time but recently Facebook took over the 1st position in Alexa.
Although Alexa ranking is not appropriate to judge any site but still to hold number 1 position in Alexa is a big achievement. Alexa ranking is based on various factors like Traffic Reach, Traffic source, Page views atc with the help of their Alexa Toolbar. So Alexa only determines the rank on the data which is collected by Alexa Toolbar and it might be possible that many of the internet users have not installed this toolbar. Thus we cannot term this ranking as accurate, but this ranking system gives us an approx. idea about the site worthiness.
Lets see for how much time Facebook can hold the position of No. 1 in Alexa World Ranking or can we say, that in how much time Google will regain its number 1 position.
